Spring Mill Corporate Center Evacuated Again
Employees were evacuated for fire scares three times since Feb. 18.

The Spring Mill Corporate Center on Hector Street and North Lane in Whitemarsh was evacuated on Tuesday morning for a third time since Feb. 18 due to a fire scare.
According to a Spring Mill Fire Company official, smoke caused by a piece of toast was the cause of the evacuation.

Employees re-entered the building after standing in the rain for almost an hour around 10 a.m.
On Feb. 18, the fire alarm was triggered after an employee smelled a “suspicious odor” that was caused by a charred pizza left in the Café Zoe oven. Hector Street was closed in front of the building due to the incident.

On March 8, employees of 1010 Spring Mill Ave, part of the Spring Mill Corporate Center Complex, were evacuated when “light smoke” was detected upstairs.
