Spring Mill Multi-Modal Study Presentation Thursday In Whitemarsh
Community members in the Spring Mill section of Whitemarsh are invited to a public presentation Thursday on an ongoing land use study.
WHITEMARSH, PA — Members of the public who reside or work in and around the Spring Mill section of Whitemarsh Township have been invited to a community forum on Thursday designed to offer updates on an ongoing land use study.
The township announced that local officials will join representatives from Gilmore & Associates, Inc. during a public presentation and listening session to address the Spring Mill Area Multi-Modal and Land Use Study.
The presentation will take place virtually on the Zoom platform and those interested in attending are asked to register in advance.

The multi-modal study is being conducted to "improve a regionally important junction of pedestrian, bicycle, vehicle, and commuter-train transportation options," according to information provided by the township.
Whitemarsh defines the Spring Mill section as the part of the municipality along the Schuylkill River, and encompassing the Schuylkill River Trail, the Manayunk/Norristown SEPTA regional rail station, and the main roads of Hector, Lee and Washington Streets.

The study is being funded by a Transportation and Community Development Initiative Grant provided through the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission.
A steering committee has been meeting regularly to provide updates on the ongoing study.
