Viggiano’s Returning to Conshy, Replacing Spampinato's

Spampinato's will close March 4; Viggiano's plans to reopen in April.

 

Mark Viggiano is planning on making a comeback to the Conshohocken dining scene after just under four years, and will set up shop in the former location of Viggiano’s, 16 E First Ave, which is currently occupied by Spampinato's

According to Marcie Spampinato, Viggiano approached the Spampinatos about taking back the business with plans to re-open on April 1. Spampinato's will close on March 4.

The Spampinatos took over the Viggiano's space in 2009, adding an italian element to their steak and seafood spot Spamps, located next door.

Spampinato says that the re-opened restaurant will be “just like Viggiano’s used to be, a family style Italian BYOB.”

Spampinatos was open for roughly ten years before closing in July of 2009.

According to Linkedin, Viggiano has spent time as the general manager of several restaurants in the Philadelphia region since closing Viggiano's, including Charlie's Browns and Buca di Beppo.

Spamps will accept all Spampinato's gift cards after closing.
