Whitemarsh Township Man Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Possession
Jorvan Axel Martinez-Ramos, 23, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court to possessing child pornography.

WHITEMARSH, PA — A local man faces possible decades behind bars after admitting that he possessed child pornography, according to court records and media reports.
Jorvan Axel Martinez-Ramos, 23, of East Elm Street in the Conshohocken section of Whitemarsh Township, entered an open guilty plea on Oct. 19 before Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Henry S. Hilles, III.
The criminal docket sheet shows that Martinez-Ramos pleaded guilty to two counts of felony child pornography possession. He had originally been charged with a total of 50 child porn counts.

The record shows that he currently remains confined to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
According to the court docket, Martinez-Ramos will be sentenced after a presentence investigation is complete, which includes a psychosexual evaluation ordered by the judge.

According to a report in the Mercury newspaper of Pottstown, which cited a police criminal complaint, Martinez-Ramos was arrested late last year after county detectives working a cyber taskforce received a tip from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children about 47 digital files of possible child pornographic images being uploaded to a Dropbox account linked to Martinez-Ramos.
The paper reported that investigators ultimately obtained a warrant to search the home of Martinez-Ramos, after which the defendant admitted during an interview with police that he had downloaded child pornography files.
Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce eventually found a total of 662 child pornography files on the Dropbox account belonging to Martinez-Ramos, the Mercury reported, again citing a police criminal complaint.
Martinez-Ramos faces a possible sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
