Woman ID'd In Theft Of $2,800 Puppy In Plymouth Twp.: Police

Police said the woman had recently been arrested in Atlantic City and she fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — A warrant has been issued for a woman who stole a $2,800 puppy from a Montgomery County pet store before fleeing in a stolen vehicle, authorities announced.

The woman, Zendaya Zoe, has ties to Union County, New Jersey and was recently arrested on unrelated charges in Atlantic City.

The puppy incident occurred on Feb. 17 at the Playful Pets store on 115 Ridge Pike in Plymouth Township.

Zoe, pictured above, removed a black German Shepherd puppy from its pen area before walking straight out of the store, police said.

The dog would have cost $2,800, according to authorities.

Zoe ran to a red Ford Ranger pickup truck in the driveway next to the building, which police have now identified as a stolen vehicle, and drove off eastbound on Ridge Pike toward Butler Pike.

It's believed Zoe may have fled south to South Carolina or Florida, police said.
