• The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 5 at Comfort Inn, 99 Robinson Street and at Burger King, 1515 E. High Street, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 10. Learn more here.

• Pottstown Animal Control Rabies Vaccinations for cats, dogs and ferrets -- leashed or in an approved carrier -- will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 24 at Pottstown Roller Mills, 625 Industrial Highway. • The 3rd Annual National Kidney Foundation Motorcycle Run will be held Aug. 27 at 13 W. Armond Hammer Blvd., Pottstown. Registration is from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and the ride leaves at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $20 per rider, $15 per passenger and $10 park walk-in.
