MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A school district in Berks and Montgomery counties has canceled the final two days of school for the 2023-24 school year due to a server issue that has impacted key systems across the district.

The issue impacts the cooling and heating systems, phones, intercoms, and other essential functions in the schools, the district said.

While there will be no school on Thursday or Friday, graduation will still be held as planned on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Santander Arena.

"This action is not taken lightly and is done out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our students and staff," Boyertown communications specialist Alison Moyer said in a statement.

Students have been asked to sign out of any district devices they have at home in order to help the district resolve any systems issues they have more swiftly.
