Norfolk Southern to Close Hanover Street in Pottstown for Rail Crossing Replacement

During construction, Hanover Street through traffic will be detoured over Route 724 (Schuylkill Road), Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and High Street.

Norfolk Southern will close Hanover Street between River Road and High Street in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County from Monday, Aug. 28 through Thursday, Aug. 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for rail crossing replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.

During construction, Hanover Street through traffic will be detoured over Route 724 (Schuylkill Road), Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and High Street.  Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.  Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
