Pottstown, PA — In a disturbing incident that occurred in February 2021, a local resident alleges that he was violently assaulted by police officers during a call for assistance after misplacing his car keys. According to the victim, who has since suffered a torn Achilles tendon and a head injury, officers used excessive force despite his nonviolent behavior and lack of threat.
The man states that after explaining he did not have access to his car keys, officers forcefully grabbed him, threw him to the ground, stepped on his ankle—tearing his Achilles tendon—and slammed his head against the pavement. He was then placed in the back of a patrol vehicle while injured, without receiving immediate medical attention.

Adding to the severity of the allegations, the victim claims that false information was later entered into the official police report in an attempt to justify the use of force and cover up the misconduct.
"This was a clear abuse of power," the victim said. "I wasn’t resisting, I just didn’t have my keys. Instead of helping, they hurt me and then lied about it."
He is now calling for a full investigation, accountability for the officers involved, and support from civil rights organizations and the media to raise awareness of the incident.
The victim is currently seeking legal representation and encourages any witnesses or those with information to come forward.
