According to Wilson, on December 11, 2024, Detective Carl D. Robinson Jr. of the Montgomery County Detective Bureau submitted an affidavit of probable cause to Judge O’Neill, claiming Wilson had sent threatening messages to an individual named David Fugelo. Based on this affidavit, a search warrant was approved for Wilson’s Facebook account the same day.

On January 2, 2025, Magisterial District Judge Edward C. Kropp Sr. signed a warrant for Wilson’s arrest. Wilson was taken into custody on January 7, 2025, and detained at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

However, during an August 7, 2025 court proceeding before Judge Wendy Rothsten, Fugelo reportedly testified that he had never received any threatening messages from Wilson. Wilson alleges this contradicts the claims made in Detective Robinson’s affidavit and proves the arrest lacked probable cause.

“This was not only an injustice to me personally,” Wilson stated, “but a violation of the public’s trust in law enforcement and the justice system.”

Wilson says he is pursuing charges against Detective Robinson, including:

False reports to law enforcement

Tampering with public records

Harassment

False imprisonment

Perjury

Wilson is calling for a full investigation into the incident, as well as broader reforms to ensure that affidavits and warrants are backed by verified evidence before arrests are made.
