University Center Ribbon Cutting at MCCC’s Pottstown Campus

Montgomery County Community College will hold a ribbon cutting celebration for its new University Center, located in the former historic AAA Building at 95 South Hanover Street in Pottstown, on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. The project extends MCCC’s reach further into the community as the West Campus continues to anchor the economic revitalization of the Pottstown Borough and surrounding areas.

First introduced in 2006, the University Center offers an entrepreneurial approach to expanding higher education opportunities for residents of the Tri-County region. Through MCCC’s partnership with select four year colleges and universities, students can choose from eight bachelor’s degrees, two master’s degrees and one graduate certificate.

The new facility is made possible by a public-private partnership with Vesper Property Group, the building’s owner and developer. The 10,500 square-foot building includes six classrooms with smart technology, a student lounge, and a reception area.

MCCC’s current University Center partners include Albright College, Chestnut Hill College, Temple University and Villanova University.
