The Pottstown area will host a variety of activities this week.

 

• The Career Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 16 at the Berean Conference Center, 2675 East High Street in Pottstown and feature over 70 employers. The program is presented by the TCN Exelon Nuclear Workforce Development. For more information, call 610-705-3301.

• Get a free haircut or style from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15  -- courtesy of -- at the Western Montgomery Career & Technical Center, 77 Graterford Road in Limerick. Pick up the bus in front of Pottstown Bible Church, 431 East High Street, at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Call 610-705-3301, Ext. 2 to register.

• Pottstown's , 137 King Street, 3rd Floor, will host a Dress for Success Event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 23. The event aims to help folks prepare for job interviews. Appointments are required. Call 610-705-3301, Ext. 2 to reserve a space.

• Girl Talk Series: Non-Traditional Careers for women and girls ages 8 and up will be held from 10 a.m. to noon May 19 at the  Tri-County Area, 315 King Street in Pottstown. The event is free. To reserve a space, call 610-323-1888 x200.

• In Ian’s Boots presents Boots Bistro Italian Dinner and Giant Raffle at 6 p.m. May 19 at , 1092 Laurelwood Road in Pottstown. The event will include chicken Parmesan, pasta, salads and a dessert buffet. A raffle with over 50 items, door prizes and games will also be featured. Tickets: Adults - $25; Children 12 and under - $15. • The at Pottstown, 724 North Adams Street, invites folks ages 60 and older to participate in the 2012 Y Senior Health and Fitness Week, May 21-27.
