Verbal Altercation Causes Middle School Lockdown
No students were injured and no weapons were involved.
A verbal altercation between a pair of students in the cafeteria caused the lockdown of Pottsgrove Middle School on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report by the Sanatoga Post.
The report states that after one of the students involved in the incident had overturned the cafeteria's salad bar, Principal Bill Ziegler called for the lockdown "as a precautionary measure." No injuries were reported, and no weapons were involved, accord to the Sanatoga Post's report.
The student who flipped the salad bar tried to flee the cafeteria, but was restrained by the school's safety officer, the report states. Shortly after the incident, students and faculty were allowed to return to their classes.
