Wanted Pottstown Man 'Out of Control' at Whitpain Bar

Police arrive to find a wanted man making a scene at P.J. Whelihan's.

A call to a local bar early Saturday morning resulted in finding a wanted man.

Whitpain Police Department was called to P.J. Whelihan's for a man that was reportedly "out of control."

According to reports, on April 13, at 1 a.m., police were called to P.J. Whelihan's at 799 Dekalb Pike by a patron who "advised his friend was out of control."

When police arrived, they reportedly spoke with Matthew Hoch, 24, of the unit block of Hillside Drive in Pottstown.

"As they spoke with him, it was apparent that he was intoxicated and it was learned that there was an active warrant for his arrest from Chester County for a parole violation," said Whitpain Police reports.

Hoch was taken into custody and later released to a Chester County Constable.
