$25K-Plus In Awards Available Via Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival

WAYNE, PA — The Wayne Art Center is inviting artists to join its 17th Annual Plein Air Festival.

This year's festival will run from May 4 to May 10, with pieces being exhibited from May 10 through June 21 at the Wayne Art Center.

Artists who wish to join the festival must do so by Feb. 20.

The festival's entry fee is $50.

Participants must submit a minimum of one sample and one image. Up to four images and samples can be submitted.

This year's juror is Larry Moore. Moore is a fine artist, instructor, illustrator and author whose art career spans more than 5o years.

A preview party for the exhibition will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 10. Participating plein air artists will have the unique opportunity to connect with Wayne Art Center sponsors, patrons and area collectors while establishing important contacts.

The party will also feature an awards ceremony.

Artists will compete for $25,000 in cash awards.

More than 10 major cash awards totaling will be presented by Moore, including Best of Show, First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Special Themed Awards. Industry Prizes will also be awarded.

In addition to cash, the Best of Show award winner will be invited to participate in the next year’s plein air event.

Pieces submitted for the festival will be on display in the Davenport Gallery, Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Gallery, Vidinghoff Gallery through June 21.
