Radnor Township Police are investigating a report of an $15,000 misappropriation from the Bateman-Gallagher American Legion Post in Wayne.
According to a police report, a preliminary audit by the organization showed $8,100 missing from the American Legion's account and $7,100 missing from the account that is for the Legion's building and bar.
"It's extremely discouraging," Marty Costello, Commander for the Delaware County American Legion and former Commander of the Bateman-Gallagher Post, told Patch.
Costello said in addition to the police's investigation the Legion will also conduct its own investigation at the state level into the missing funds.
