Crozer-Chester EMS Deputy Chief Larry Worrilow Retires After 44 Years

Delaware County EMS thanked Deputy Chief Lawrence Worrilow for 44 years of service in Delco and Chesco as he retired.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Crozer-Chester Health bid goodbye to a retiring EMS provider who'd served the Upland community and the wider emergency services community for more than four decades.

Crozer EMS congratulated Deputy Chief Lawrence Worrilow on his retirement this week, after 44 years of service to Delaware County.

"Thank you to all who came out to wish Larry a happy retirement. Very special thank you to our local mutual aid Police, Fire and EMS Depts who participated in today’s event," Crozer EMS said. "Time to hit the golf course, Larry!" they added.

The Delco paramedic was recognized with a parade that featured sirens and lights that gave attention to the contribution of the public servant who didn't seek it, ABC6 reported.

Chester County EMS added to the accolades in a post, "We would like to congratulate Deputy Chief Lawrence Worrilow on his retirement today after 44 years of dedicated service to Delaware County through the Crozer-Chester Medical Center."

The post noted that Worrilow trained and mentored many of the great EMS providers working in Chester County. "Forty-four years is a tremendous accomplishment, we wish him a happy and healthy retirement!"
