Headed To the Mummers Parade? Here's What You Need to Know

The parade, in its 115th year, has a new route in 2015.

Thinking of going into Center City to see the annual Mummers Parade on New Year’s Day?

The parade, in its 115th year, features 40 Mummers clubs, who perform under five divisions: Comics, Wench Brigades, Fancies, String Bands and Fancy Brigades.

The 2015 parade will be a little different from years past, though. The upcoming parade will feature a new route beginning at City Hall. Judging will take place at 15th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard. From there, the parade goes south on Broad Street and ends at Washington Avenue.

If you plan on going into Philadelphia to see there parade, here are the basics:

When: Thursday, Jan. 1, 10 a.m.

Where: Starts at City Hall, Broad and Market streets, ends at Broad Street and Washington Avenue

Cost: Free (bleacher seating is available for $20)
