Heavy Rain, Wind in Christmas Forecast
Rain is expected to begin Monday and increase through Wednesday; flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

A giant storm system is now gathering and forecasters said Sunday that it could wallop an area from the midwest to the Eastern seaboard with heavy rains and wind gusts of 50 mph just in time for holiday travel.
While the storm is not expected to bring heavy snow as winter storm Cato did to some areas for Thanksgiving, flooding on the ground and delays in air travel are expected, according to Weather.com, which called the potential for the storm “very serious.”

In the Philadelphia region, there’s a chance of rain MOnday and Tuesday, with heavy rains expected Christmas Eve.
The National Weather Service is calling for heavy rain at times, and a high of 60 degrees on Wednesday. There is a chance of showers on Thursday. Winds between 8 and 11 miles an hour are expected through Wednesday.
