Holiday Gift Sale Saturday, Dec. 9, At Sports Legends Museum In Radnor

Bobby Shantz, a former baseball player with the Philadelphia Athletics who won Most Valuable Player Award, will be stopping in the museum.

RADNOR, PA —If you’re looking for a special Christmas gift for a Delaware County sports fan, an excellent opportunity is coming on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Sports Legends of Delaware County Museum in the Radnor Township Municipal Building.

Baseball legend Bobby Shantz is expected to appear at a holiday gift sale at the museum from 11 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Shantz, a left-handed pitcher and three-time All-Star, won the American League MVP in 1952 while playing for the Philadelphia Athletics.

During his 16-year career from 1949 to 1964, he amassed eight Golden Glove Awards and won a World Series with the New York Yankees in 1958.

The holiday gift sale features a selection of sports-related items, including card sets, posters, framed photos, books, and DVDs.
