Tree Lighting Road Closures In Wayne Tonight
Road closures begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Wayne station. A 5-K run and other festivities set for Saturday.
WAYNE, PA —Streets in downtown Wayne will close at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, for the Wayne Business Association’s annual tree lighting and visit with Santa at Wayne Train Station on North Wayne Avenue.
These streets will be closed:
- North Wayne Avenue between Lancaster and Station Road
- West Avenue between North Wayne and South Bellevue Avenue
- Pennsylvania Avenue at North Wayne Avenue (this includes the underpass)
Patrons parked on North Wayne Avenue in the permissible spaces and not staying for the tree lighting will be allowed to exit southbound only until 6 p.m. The road will be completely closed at that time.

Vehicles parked in the North Wayne station lot must exit out to Waynewood Avenue or Louella Court.
The public is invited to the event, which is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and will feature 6abc Sports Director, Ducis Rodgers.

The festivities will also feature Wayne Polar Express Children's Train, carolers, crafts, face painting, and a balloon artist at the Radnor Fire Co., 121 S. Wayne Ave.
Saturday's festivities
On Saturday, Dec. 2, the community members are invited to Radnor Memorial Library's annual Shelves for Elves Fun Run and 5K beginning at 8 a.m. at the library on West Wayne Avenue.
The run is followed by a parade at 10 a.m. featuring Santa on a fire truck and the Radnor High School Marching Band.
