Outdoor Dining In Garrett Hill Is On The Agenda In Radnor
Radnor commissioners are expected to approve an ordinance that would allow outdoor dining in Garrett Hill from March 1 to Nov. 30.

RADNOR, PA —Radnor commissioners are expected to vote this week on an ordinance to provide outdoor dining in the Garrett Hill section of the township.
Garrett Hill is a residential community with a small commercial area near the intersection of Conestoga Road and Garrett Avenue, consisting of a few taverns and small businesses. It has a Bryn Mawr postal address.
The ordinance sets regulations for outdoor dining, including only allowing outdoor dining on the same premises as indoor dining that are licensed food establishments.

The proposed time for outdoor dining is 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. From March 1 to Nov. 30.
In addition, outdoor dining would be limited to 40 percent of the number of indoor dining spaces.
Outdoor dining would be closed when the indoor kitchen is closed.

The commissioners in May voted 6-1 to introduce an ordinance to provide outdoor dining in Garrett Hill.
Commissioner Jake Abel voted against introducing an ordinance, noting the township has a comprehensive planning group established to address the issue.
Commissioner Sean Farhy said in May that outdoor dining would help the business community in Garrett Hill compete with other businesses in the township, which includes many dining options in the Wayne section of Radnor.
At theMay meeting, some Garrett Hill residents expressed opposition in May to the proposed outdoor dining ordinance due to noise and parking issues.
