Overnight, Gas Prices Going Up
As of Thursday, you'll pay an extra $.10 per gallon of gas, and $.13 per gallon of diesel.

Gas taxes in Pennsylvania are set to increase this week.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that as of Thursday, you can expect to pay a dime more per gallon and 13 cents per gallon more for diesel.

The money will be used to fund Act 89, which is allocated to repair roads and highways throughout the state.
The increase comes at a time when Pennsylvania gas prices are at their lowest in five years. As of Tuesday, the average price for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania was $2.56, according to www.gasbuddy.com.

AAA estimates drivers are saving more than $400 million dollars each day compared to the peak price paid earlier this year, based on daily gasoline consumption figures from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
