Radnor Commissioners To Consider $500K-Plus In Police Investments
At Monday's meeting, the commissioners will vote on buying Radnor Police new uniforms, new vehicles, new firearms, and new speed boards.
RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners Monday will vote on more than half a million dollars worth of Radnor Police resolutions.
At Monday's meeting, the commissioners will consider resolutions to the tune of $516,881.19 that would support the police department.
The Radnor Township Police Department is looking to purchase new, replace existing if necessary, and maintain the duty uniforms of all members of the force.

Doing so will not exceed the amount of $91,000, according to township documents.
Another bit of uniforming detail, the department wants to buy 49 Class “A” dress uniforms for its Patrol and Highway/Traffic Divisions/Detectives. The new dress uniforms will be purchased from Uniform Gear for $64,867.28.

Funds used for these purchases would come from the approved 2025 General Fund.
As for police vehicles, the department is hoping to guy two new hybrid vehicles two replace two vehicles, as well as one Ford AWD SSV Marked Police Vehicle to replace another patrol vehicle.
The hybrid vehicles will cost $122,000, while the ford would cost no more than $72,000.
These vehicles will be purchased under the 2025 Pennsylvania COSTARS Program, and the money will come approved 2025 Capital Improvement Fund.
The commissioners will also weigh the purchase of 55 new SIG Sauer semi-automatic duty pistols to be used by the department's Patrol, Highway/Traffic Division, Community Services Unit, and Detectives. After receiving bids, the replacement duty pistols will be purchased from Firing Line Inc. for an amount not to exceed $77,406.
Police are also looking to buy seven digital speed boards, with the cost not to exceed $22,520.
Funds for these two purchases will come from the 2025 Capital Fund.
Lastly, the commissioners will consider the department's request to purchase and enter into an agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture to conduct White Tail Deer, and Canada Geese Management in the amount of $69,087.91. The agreement would run from for the term of Feb. 1 through Jan. 31, 2026.
The funds for this purchase requisition will come from the 2025Animal Control Contracted Services Budget.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Radnorshire Room of the Radnor Township Municipal Building, 301 Iven Ave. in Wayne.
