Cuts at the Veterans Administration and the Department of Education, threats to Social Security and Medicare, and more have been the topics constituents in the 168th legislative district have brought up to Borowski.
Additionally, Borowski's district has about 13,000 senior citizens, eight continuing care retirement communities, and the Delaware County nursing home.
While attending the recent 2025 AICUP Day in Harrisburg, Borowski said students from local institutions of higher learning such as Villanova and Widener were expressing concerns about finances due to ongoing cuts by the Trump Administration.
"All these students were asking what's happening with loans, scholarships, and grants," she said.
Borowski also said there are many non-profit groups in the area that the current administration has left feeling dizzied and concerned over the allocation of funds and resources/
"There are just so many questions," she said.
The decision to bring Scanlon, Cappalletti, and Myers on board for the town hall was to give 168th district constituents a more holistic approach to addressing their concerns.
"It's important for us to show how we can work together," Borowski said of including them at the upcoming event. "We can show the public what we can and can't do in this environment."
