The township thought the rebate would be $87,253, but the actual rebate received was $111,215.96.
"We thank the Board of Commissioners for their leadership in sustainability efforts like this," Radnor Township Manager William M. White said. "Upgrading to LED streetlights in Radnor Township presented an excellent opportunity to reduce energy use and operating costs while improving public safety."
The Street Lighting Procurement Program, which ran from 2015 to 2025, pooled the decision-making and purchasing power of municipalities so that they could confidently and cost effectively access the resources needed to complete an LED street and exterior lighting project.
RSLPP was a turnkey program that guided the township through the entire process of converting to an LED streetlight system and removed key barriers at every step.
Officials said the township benefited from reduced product and labor pricing, a common step-by-step program timeline, and technical and legal assistance in designing and implementing the projects.
