Radnor Police Report Uptick In Burglaries

Police are searching for suspects in a burglary ring targeting residential burglaries in upscale neighborhoods.

RADNOR, PA —Radnor Township Police are investigating a series of residential burglaries in the Wayne and Villanova neighborhoods of the township.

Police said high-end jewelry was stolen from three residences. In all three instances, thieves entered the second-floor windows to enter the master bedroom.

The thieves removed a pillowcase from a master bedroom pillow and filled it with jewelry and other items in view.

Police Chief Christopher Flanagan said suspects were captured on surveillance video.
These three burglaries were recently reported:

  • Sunday, Oct. 22: Police were dispatched to the Unit Block of Orchard Lane in Wayne for a burglary in progress. The victim reported seeing a male figure in a second-floor bedroom before retreating and calling the police. Entry was gained through a second-floor bedroom.
  • Monday, Oct. 23: Police were dispatched to the Unit Block of Ithan Woods Lane in Villanova for a burglary discovered. The homeowner located a rear window forced open with entry gained into the residence.
  • Friday. Oct. 27: Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Brooke Farm Road in Wayne for a burglary discovered. The homeowner located French doors on the second floor forced open.

Radnor police recommended that residents notify the police department when leaving home for an extended period of time. Registration is available here or by contacting the department at 610-688-5600.
