Radnor Run Will Bring Traffic Delays, So Plan Ahead On Oct. 31 Says Township

The popular Radnor Run is coming Oct. 31 and will bring the usual traffic delays as Iven Avenue closes, so plan ahead.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — The Radnor Run is a great event for a great cause, but don't forget that there will be closed roads to accommodate runners, Radnor Township reminded residents this week.

The 44th Annual Radnor Run will pose significant traffic delays in the areas on and surrounding the racecourse on Sunday, Oct. 31 from approximately 7:30-11 a.m., the Township said.

The course begins and ends at the Radnor Township Building at 301 Iven Avenue, Wayne. Iven Avenue will be closed from Radnor Crossing Apartments to Conestoga Road, with only local traffic permitted at times that are safe, according to a Township announcement.

The American Lung Association has held the event for more than four decades. "The Main Line community has been working for 44 years to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through the American Lung Association's annual Radnor Run. With lung disease on the rise through COVID-19 and youth vaping, this tradition is now more important than ever," the Association said.

Over the years, the American Lung Association said it has funded local clinical trials and research related to lung disease and lung cancer at Temple Lung Center, Fox Chase Cancer Center, University of Pennsylvania, and Thomas Jefferson University.
