Radnor School Board Elects Officers
The district has over 3,600 students in a high school, middle school and three elementary schools.

RADNOR. PA – Sarah Dunn and Liz Duffy were unanimously elected on Dec. 5 as president and vice president, respectively, of the Radnor Township School Board, which covers nearly 14 square miles.
The district received top honors in a recent nationwide study of public schools. It consists of a high school, a middle school, and three elementary schools.
Dr. Andrew Babson, Lydia T. Solomon, and Susan Stern continue their terms joined by newly elected directors Clare Girton, Jannie Lau, Lon Rosenblum, and DJ Thornton.

Dunn previously served as vice president and Duffy was just re-elected to her second term on the board. Dunn, an attorney and township resident for 18 years, began her seventh year of service on the school board, serving on curriculum, facilities, and finance committees. Dunn also represented the board as a delegate to the 2018 and 2019 Pennsylvania School Board Association’s School Leadership Conference. She is a graduate of Amherst College with a degree in history.
She earned her law degree from Columbia University School of Law, where she participated in the
Child Advocacy Clinic, assisting at Legal Aid to represent children in the New York City foster care
system. She and her husband, Michael, have two daughters in the district.
- Duffy began her fifth year on the board. She and her husband, Kevin, have been Radnor residents for more than 20 years and are parents of four children: three graduates from Radnor High School, and a sophomore at high school.
Duffy spent 15 years as a marketing and advertising professional in Manhattan and Philadelphia, where she worked in a variety of industries including consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and financial services. Duffy is a volunteer with the Radnor Residents for Gun Safety, Radnor ABC House, and Radnor Educational Foundation. Duffy graduated with honors from Boston College with a BA in Economics.

- Babson, began his seventh year of service on the board and is a scholar of educational foundations and teaches at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education and the Temple University College of Education.
- Girton began her first year of service on the board. She and her husband, Darrin, have raised their four children in Wayne; all who are K-12 Radnor educated. Over the last 25 years, Girton has participated in and served on many Radnor school committees including the Radnor Township Parks and Recreation Board and the Shade Tree Commission.
- Janie Lau began her first year of service on the board. She and her husband, Todd Longsworth, have lived in Radnor for over a decade, and both their children have attended Radnor public schools since kindergarten. Ms. Lau has served as a Vice President of the RMS PTO, Chair of the RMS PTO Veterans and Memorial Day Committee, a member of the RHS Boys’ Tennis Booster Club, and a parent coach for the Radnor Wayne Little League and Radnor Soccer Club.
- Rosenblum began her first term with the board. She and her husband, Jeff, are parents of four Radnor-educated children, graduating in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023. Rosenblum has volunteered as PTO president, vice president, and treasurer.
- Solomon begins fer 15th year on the school board. She served as president, vice president, and on several committees. She also served as a representative to the Delaware County Community College Liaison Board, a board member of the Delaware County Intermediate Unit, and a representative to the Parent-Teacher Organization Coordinating Council.
- Stern begins her 11th year on the board. She served eight years on the Township Planning Commission and as a founding Board Member and Treasurer of Skunk Hollow Community Garden. She recently joined the Board of The Women’s Sacred Music Project as Treasurer. She served as vice president on the school board in 2018. She has served on several committees.
- Thornton begins his first term on the board. He is a parent of two Radnor students. An active community volunteer with extensive nonprofit management experience, he’s held board positions with People’s Light Theatre, Wayne Wildcats, and Bread and Rose Community Fund.
