Radnor Township Police Provide Car Safety Tips

Police remind motorists to follow safety tips to prevent theft from vehicles parked in the township.

RADNOR, PA —In the wake of several reports of ‘smash and grab’ style thefts from vehicles, Radnor Township police remind residents to lock cars and hide valuables.

Police said several vehicles parked at gym and fitness centers were recently broken into and items were stolen.

As a preventive measure, police encourage drivers to make sure they are not leaving valuables in plain sight.

Police provide these safety tips:

  • Always park cars in well-lit areas.
  • Put windows up, take keys, and lock doors.
  • Do not leave handbags, phones, briefcases, wallets, or other valuables visible inside vehicles.
  • Hide valuables. Car floors, dashboards and seats are not good places.
  • If you can’t take valuable items with you, hide them out of sight in your trunk.
