RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Radnor Township residents could see a slight increase in their real estate taxes if the 2025 budget is adopted as it stands.

The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners on Monday adopted the 2025 Recommended Budget as the Preliminary Comprehensive Budget.

As it stands, the budget accounts for $60.8 million in revenues and $60.5 million in expenses.

That increase of 0.0487 mills represents a nearly 2 percent increase.

Officials said the increase aims to cover a base operating deficit of roughly $300,000 created by the new Police Community Support Unit, which was approved in 2023.

The increase would also provide anticipated funding needed for the Wayne Master Plan, and zoning rewrite contract.

Additionally, the adjustment would serve as a continued step in lessening its reliance on businesses taxes for operational purposes.

The proposal includes shifting operational revenues towards real estate taxes, which over time would free up business taxes to help cover the unfunded capital needs, as addressed above.

Next steps will include the Introduction of the Final Budget Ordinances and Final Public Hearing and Adoption of Budget Legislation in November.

The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners on Nov. 11 will introduce the final budget ordinances, then on Nov. 25 will hold its final public hearing on the budget and will adopt the 2025 budget legislation.
