Wayne Art Center Plein Air Paintings Are On Display
Wayne Art Center welcomed 32 artists to the 15th annual Plein Art Festival.

WAYNE, PA —Wayne Art Center's 2023 Plein Air Festival concluded with several hundred artists creating paintings in and around Wayne.
An intense week of painting culminated with a new exhibit with more than 300 paintings.
Artists selected by juror Bryan Mark Taylor of Utah created paintings focusing on barns, bridges and nature in the Wayne area. There was also a day devoted to painting in downtown Wayne.

“It is truly astonishing that over 300 paintings are created in less than a week,” said Nancy Campbell, the art center's executive director.
Completed works are available for sale at Wayne Art Center, 413 Maplewood Ave.

- Local artist Beth Bathe will speak Wednesday, May 31 from 5-7 p.m.
- Summer Succulent Gardens in Glass Workshop on Thursday, June 1 from 5-7 p.m
- Local artist Elise Phillips is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, June 7 from 5-7 p.m.
- French Provencal Dinner hosted by Chef Patrick Gauthron on Thursday, June 8 from 6-8:30 p.m.
- Mick McAndrews is scheduled to speak on Tuesday, June 14 from 5-7 p.m.
- Randall Graham is scheduled to speak on Thursday, June 22, from 5-7 p.m.
The Art Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Sunday. The list of winners of the 15th annual Plein Air Festival is available here.
