What Radnor Commissioners Are Excited For In 2026
A gas powered leaf blower ban, the Vision for Radnor and Vision for Wayne plans, environmental initiatives, and more are on tap for 2026.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — With the new year here, two Radnor Township Commissioners are sharing their excitement for what 2026 has in store locally.
Board of Commissioners President Maggy Myers, who represents Ward 2, and Vice President Jim Riley, Ward 4, told Patch just what has them hyped in the new year.
One prime aspect is the "Vision for Radnor" plan.

Additionally, Radnor leaders are developing a "Vision for Wayne:" a master plan to look in depth at issues such as development, traffic, parking and green space in the Wayne Business Overlay District, as well as continuing to support the town center as a welcoming, thriving business district.
The township hired Sam Thomas as an Economic Development Manager to help achieve these goals.

And speaking of green space, the township also has environmental initiatives coming to fruition in 2026.
"Both the Township Building and Public Works facilities are getting new roofs with solar panels and updated, more efficient, HVAC systems," the commissioners said. "We are converting, over time, our fleet of cars and trucks to hybrid/EV vehicles, and we just completed changing all of our street lighting to LEDs."
Officials hope to reap the rewards in lower utility costs from these initiatives.
And, the Environmental Advisory Council is working on an ordinance to phase out gas powered leaf blowers/lawn equipment, following Lower Merion Township's move in late 2024.
Lastly, Myers and Riley said the Parks and Recreation Department always has exciting plans in the works.
They said this year should see the completion of the Fenimore Woods stable renovation and new pavilion, something Myers said is near and dear to her heart.
"We will all be thrilled to see the blue tarps go," she said. "We are also planning to improve access to some parks/trails with improved crosswalks and perhaps a new trailhead."
