$10,000 Worth of Construction Equipment Stolen, Police Say

Burglars make off with $10,000 worth of construction equipment in a dump truck.

Police say that more than $10,000 in construction equipment and supplies were stolen from Vanderbuilt Construction sometime between May 25 and 28.

On May 28, at 7 a.m., a worker at Vanderbuilt Construction arrived at the building in the 300 block of Martin Street, police said.

The worker noticed that several items were taken, including a 500 feet roll of wire, 40 sections of scaffolding, 80 feet of copper piping and several cases of nails, police said.

Police said there was no sign of forced entry at the building.

Witness saw two males in a black dump truck taking the items, police said.

Police said that the total value of the stolen items was $10,333.
