13th Annual Roxtoberfest Set For Oct 4 On Ridge Avenue

This year's festival will feature Galena Brass Band, circus performers, competitions, food trucks, a mini classic car show, and more.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — In about a month's time, Roxborough will host its annual Oktoberfest celebration featuring food, a car show, live performances, competitions, vendors, and of course beer.

The 13th Annual Roxtoberfest will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 4.

The street festival will take place on Ridge Avenue between Lyceum and Leverington avenues, with sidewalk activations extending from Leverington Avenue to Hermitage Street, connecting Roxtoberfest to the family fun at Gorgas Park.

Guests will find the traditional feel of a German beer fest, including performances by Galena Brass Band, circus performers, competitions, an array of food trucks, a mini classic car show with the Ridge Runners, and a market from Fleisher Art Memorial, El l Mercardo featuring Latinx artisans.

For 2025, the Roxborough Development Corporation is hosting a special collaboration between New Ridge Brewing and Top Dog Cocktails called "Top of the Ridge."

Top of the Ridge will be located at the MGMT Residential Main Stage on Lyceum Avenue. There, fedstival goers will find craft beers and RTD cocktails.

Also returning is the Scarecrow Walk and Scarecrow Build in Gorgas Park. This year, the Friends of Gorgas Park are bringing back their scarecrow making event.

The Roxborough Development Corporation and Friends of Gorgas Park are partnering to connect the two events with sidewalk activations, including a scarecrow walk with voting for best scarecrow.

In the event of extreme weather, Roxtoberfest will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 5.
