$14,000 in Jewelry Stolen from Apartment, Police Say
A woman leaves for work and returns home to find all of her jewelry stolen.

More than $14,000 in jewelry was taken from an apartment in the 8200 block of Henry Avenue on May 13, police said.
A woman left her apartment on May 13, at 7 a.m. to go to work. When she returned at 4:15 p.m., her front door had been forced open and several items of jewelry had been taken, police said.
The stolen items included two pair of diamond earrings, two diamond necklaces, and a jewelry box containing even more jewelry, police said.

Police valued the taken items at $14,800.

Police urged all residents to make sure their doors were locked, and that any alarm systems be armed if available.
Police also asked that neighbors immediately report suspicious activity by dialing 911.
