3-Alarm Brush Fire Breaks Out In Roxborough: Philly Fire Department

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia firefighters are battling a large brush fire in Roxborough, according to the fire department.

The fire broke out at about 12:41 p.m. in the area of Nixon Street and Port Royal Avenue.

At 2 p.m., the fire was raised to two alarms.

Then, at about 2:45 p.m., a third alarm was raised.

According to the Philadelphia Fire Department, about 120 members on scene.

The fire department is urging the public to avoid the area and nearby residents to keep windows and doors closed as they battle the fire.
