Proceeds will support all the animals at the zoo by providing funds for nutrition, habitat enhancements, medical care, enrichment activities, and more.
Participants are encouraged to sign up by April 14 to guarantee an exclusive race-day T-shirt.
All runners must be pre-registered.
"The impactful work of Philadelphia Zoo is not possible without our supporters," Philadelphia Zoo Chief Development Officer Neil Batiancila said. " We're thrilled to relaunch this race and fun run to our community to allow them to experience the Zoo in a special way."
A post-race ceremony will be held at 9 am and will award the top male and female finisher in each age category. Age categories are: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+.
Participants are then encouraged to enjoy a morning at the zoo.
