Volunteer Workday

Where/When:  Saturday, June 15, 2013, 10 a.m., The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, 8480 Hagys Mill Rd, Philadelphia

Why Go: Get some fresh air and exercise while giving back to the land. Help the Schuylkill Center remove invasive plants from our forest, fix deer fences, or maintain the trails.  Wear long pants and sturdy boots and bring a water bottle. Water refills and snacks are provided.

Farmers Market

Where/When:  Saturday, June 15, 2013, 10 a.m. Pretzel Park, Cresson St & Roxborough Ave, Philadelphia

Why Go: The Manayunk-Roxborough Food Co-op will present a community farmers' market at Manayunk's Pretzel Park.  Pretzel Park will host vendors every Saturday, weekly from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Fresh produce, meats, baked goods and other delicacies will be available.
