Fattah Makes Statement for 9/11 Anniversary
Congressman Chaka Fattah says our country was forever changed 12 years ago.

Congressman Fattah released a statement today in honor of the 12th anniversary on September 11, 2001.
The statement is as follows:
“Twelve years ago our country was forever changed. The acts of terror committed on September 11 will never escape us; the images are forever fixed in our eyes, and the sorrow and loss remains heavy in our hearts. But America is a stronger nation today, a people who saw the country come together in the days, weeks, and months after the attack, and turn this tragedy into a triumph of strength and resilience.
“Today we celebrate the courage and spirit of those in New York, Washington, and Shanksville, PA whose lives were taken, and those first responders who bravely sacrificed their lives in the wake of the attacks. We also honor our soldiers at home and abroad who have continued the fight against terror, and the fight for freedom and democracy.
“America will face new challenges, but we face them united, with the memories of this day emboldened in our hearts and minds.”
