Gallery: COSACOSA Fringe Show

Local arts group brings Fringe Festival to Manayunk Canal Park.

Dancing at dusk, Manayunk arts group COSACOSA twinkled-toed into the twilight with a Friday night performance at Canal View Park. Part of the Philly Fringe Festival, the show "Changing Places" contained five vignettes based on thematic key terms: power and purpose, satisfaction and knowledge, rights and responsibilities, community and opportunity, and culture and change.

Choreographed by Adaobi Kanu and performed by Anisha Chirmule, Heather Hanowitz, and Jonathan Priester, the show featured discussion questions, which went along with COSACOSA's 20th anniversary artist-in-residence project "Change in the Making."

The Manayunk show was one of three Fringe performances by the group.
