He was a former member of Lincoln Fire Co., where he played catcher for their baseball team. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was a real sportsman who enjoyed most sports especially Baseball, Hunting, Fishing, and riding motor cycles and also enjoyed traveling and visited just about every state.
