Holiday Fun Coming To Roxborough Dec 6

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — The holiday season is kicking off in Roxborough on Dec. 6 with a tree lighting ceremony and winter market.

The Roxborough Tree Lighting Ceremony and Happy Holidays from ROX Kick-Off will begin at noon on Dec. 6 in Roxborough.

The tree lighting party will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Roxborough Pocket Park.

New this year is a winter market on Krams Avenue, featuring 20 local artisans and crafters.

Various food trucks will also be participating.

Guests will enjoy live musical performances by Huston West and spirited caroling with the Roxborough Men’s Choir. A major highlight will be the grand arrival of Santa Claus via Philadelphia Fire Department tuck.

Guest can also take part in a scavenger hunt during the festivities.

Families are invited to take part in the tradition of crafting and hanging ornaments on the special Wishing Trees. This unique tradition invites attendees to add a personal touch by creating ornaments that carry their hopes and dreams for the coming year.

The afternoon will be packed with festivities, including an ugly sweater contest and seasonal treats.

  • Santa arrives on a fire truck — 3 p.m.
  • Tree Lighting — 5:30 p.m.
