I-76 East Lane Closing Overnight This Week In Philadelphia

A portion of Interstate 76 east in Philadelphia will have a lane closure to accommodate bridge repair work, according to PennDOT.

PHILADELPHIA — Lane closures will affect eastbound Interstate 76 this week in Philadelphia, according to PennDOT.

Bridge repair work will force lane closures on Interstate 76 east between the Belmont Avenue and Montgomery Drive exits.

The closures will be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning, Monday through Friday this week.

This work is part of a $36.8 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and 23 bridges in Philadelphia.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur.
