I-76 Lane Closing For Ramp Bridge Repair Friday, Saturday: PennDOT
The ramp bridge closed Tuesday after it sustained structural damage when a large vehicle struck it. PennDOT expects it to reopen Saturday.
PHILADELPHIA — PennDOT said repair work will begin on the ramp from U.S. 1 south to westbound Interstate 76 and City Avenue will begin Friday.
The ramp closed after a large vehicle struck it Tuesday afternoon, causing structural damage.
From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, a lane on I-76 west will close for bridge repair work.

The affected portion of road is between City Avenue (Exit 339) and Lincoln Drive (Exit 340A).
The ramp from southbound U.S. 1/Roosevelt Expressway to westbound I-76 and City Avenue is anticipated to reopen sometime Saturday evening.

While the ramp is closed, driver are being directed to use eastbound I-76, exit at Montgomery Drive (Exit 341), and take the ramp to westbound I-76.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work area because significant backups and delays will occur.
