Dorthy J. Kavanaugh, of Manayunk, 76

Dorothy was born in Manayunk, PA and as a young girl loved to run the hills of Manayunk. It remained home to her heart. She graduated from Roxborough High and went to work at Sears Payroll Dept. until she married. With the birth of her children, Dorothy became a devoted mother making a warm, loving home. Gus Welsh, of Manayunk, 81

He operated Gus Welsh Electrical Contractor Inc. from 1958 until his retirement in 2004. He served in the Army Signal Corps during the Korean War from 1952-1954; and graduated from the Army Advanced Electronics School at Fort Monmouth. Gus also served on the Board of the Roxborough Salvation Army.  Gus is survived by his wife of 46 years. [Legacy/Philly.com]
