At Least 15 Cars Crash On Roosevelt Boulevard Extension Tuesday

Investigators think water used at a construction site formed ice on the road in the East Falls area, causing at least 15 vehicles to crash.

PHILADELPHIA — About 15 to 20 vehicles crashed on the Roosevelt Boulevard Extension in the East Falls area Tuesday morning, according to reports.

The crash occurred at about 5 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the boulevard between Broad and Fox streets in East Falls, Action News reports.

Despite the massive pile up, no injuries have been reported, according to NBC10.

Investigators believe construction crews in the area used water while working in that area, and that water turned into ice, Action News reports.

The crash forced all southbound lanes of the road to close, and also limited northbound travel to one lane.
