'Love Your Park' Hits Roxborough-Manayunk

Lovers of the urban outdoors, rejoice.

A number of Roxborough and Manayunk-area parks will be part of Love Your Park, a city-wide celebration of the city's parks and public spaces.

The week-long celebration, which kicks off on May 11, will feature "service projects, fun events, educational programs, family activities, tours and more at over 100 parks throughout Philadelphia," according to its website.

Below are the park events near Roxborough-Manayunk.

11th Annual Ridge Runners Car Show

Valley Talks: Birds of the Wissahickon

• When: May 15 6 to 8 p.m.
• Where: Valley Green Inn, Forbidden Drive and W. Valley Green Road, Mt. Airy

Ned Wolf Park Plant Sale

• When: May 11, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Where: Ned Wold Park, Mt. Airy

Waters of The Wissahickon
