Man Taking Smoke Break Hit with Handgun, Police Say

A Roxborough man who stepped outside to smoke was hit in the head with a handgun, police said.

On May 9, at approximately 12:05 a.m., a man left the Brickhouse Bar located at 326 Roxborough Ave. to have a cigarette, police said.

While outside, the man was hit in the head with what he described as a silver handgun, police said. 

The man who hit the smoker then fled the scene in a black Dodge Nitro, police said.

The victim was taken to Roxborough Hospital and treated for a cut on the back of his head.
