Man Steals Ex-Girlfriend's Purse After Fight, Police Say

An ex-boyfriend broke into a house where his former girlfriend was staying and stole her purse, police said.

A woman was staying on Markle Street with a male friend of hers when her ex-boyfriend broke into the house on April 28, at approximately 3 a.m.

The ex-boyfriend entered the residence, and in the process of stealing the purse, a fight broke out between the woman and her ex-boyfriend, police said.

The woman was hit in the face by the ex-boyfriend, and the ex-boyfriend was treated for numerous cuts and scratches at Roxborough Hospital after his arrest, police said.

The ex-boyfriend then ran from the scene where he was stopped by police in the 3800 block of Sharp Street, police said.
